The brief
Commissioned by KPMG International to tell the story of KPMG's involvement in the Millennium Cities Initiative in Africa, how it's related to the UN's Millennium Development Plan, and how and why it's important from not only from a CSR perspective, but also from an investment and profitability perspective. Show how the people of KPMG are using their core competencies and directly contributing to improving the quality of life for the least privileged people on the planet, and helping to build a world in which we all can thrive.
The solution
A testimonial-driven documentary shot in Kenya tells the story through interviews, including high level international messaging and corporate philosophical background. We also hear from those involved in the actual implementation at grass roots level, both on the KPMG side and the partner's side in Kenya. The film takes it's shape from sound bites gathered in the field and edited to craft an emotive, impactful and informative programme. Colourful local footage from Kenya's cities, towns and rural communities brings the MCI to life, we see how it is supporting communities, and we hear optimistic perspectives from African business owners.
